Common questions
What do these numbers mean?
Download is how fast data reaches your device. Upload is how fast you send data out. Ping is the round-trip delay in milliseconds, and jitter is how much that delay varies. Low ping and jitter matter most for video calls and games.
How much speed do I need?
About 5 Mbps per person for HD video, 25 Mbps for 4K streaming, and 10 Mbps upload for smooth video calls. Add up what everyone in your home uses at the same time.
Why is my result lower than my plan?
Wi-Fi distance, busy networks, old routers and other devices on your connection all lower results. Test again with a cable, close other apps, and compare.
